Sustainable Management Policy of the hotel
The Management of FODELE BEACH & WATER PARK HOLIDAY RESORT is committed to taking all necessary measures to ensure the viable and sustainable operation of the hotel in order to contribute to a better future for the tourism industry, the environment and the local community in its area of operation. We work responsibly to ensure that FODELE BEACH & WATER PARK HOLIDAY RESORT supports all pillars of sustainability - environmental, human capital, local community - recognising and minimising potential negative impacts and enhancing our positive influences. To this end we set the following objectives:
ENVIRONMENT
- Raise the environmental awareness of our visitors and make them aware of their contribution towards achieving our goals.
- Strengthen education and raise awareness of our staff on their role in achieving viability and sustainability.
- Monitor and reduce waste production.
- Monitor and reduce usage of natural resources.
- Compliance with legal requirements and specific stakeholder requirements.
LOCAL COMMUNITY
- Maintain communication channels with all community stakeholders.
- Active participation and support of actions that benefit the local community and motivation of staff and visitors to support such actions.
- Monitor and increase the proportion of goods, services and human resources from the local community.
HUMAN CAPITAL
- Zero tolerance approach to discrimination, incidents of violence and harassment.
- Respect for fundamental human rights and privacy.
- Protecting children’s rights and opposing child labour.
QUALITY
- Provide high quality services in line with customer requirements and employee expectations.
- Monitor and manage customer satisfaction and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Inform and raise staff awareness on the defined objectives, their contribution to the achievement of such objectives and the need to take corrective measures in cases where they are not achieved.
HEALTH & SAFETY
- Full compliance with the legal and regulatory framework for health and safety both at work, and as a leisure destination.
- Support and raise staff’s and visitors’ awareness on health and safety issues.
Sustainability policy is inextricably and bidirectionally linked to the Quality, Economic Management, Food Hygiene and Safety Policy and other policies that are applied and in force in the hotel. We are committed to the necessary actions to continuously improve sustainability, the good practices adopted and their results, by setting specific and measurable objectives, reviewing the performance of the System and revising its objectives with a view to upgrading them.
